Comments
Around 8" of new snow above 8000' made for marginally improved coverage however there is still wide variability on snow coverage. Coverages range from around 20" on north aspects to less than 10" on S and W aspects. On more northerly slopes smaller terrain features are becoming buried leaving a more uniform snow surface.
Snowpit revealed several layers of facets underneath new 11/16 snow with m/f crusts dividing layers. The mountain range south of I-84 appeared to get significantly more snow than north, as evidenced by the 3-4" of snow at the trailhead compared to no new snow sticking around in Ogden this morning.
