Comments
made the long haul up Mineral Fork to the Room of Doom today. There was a greater amount of new snow down low than up higher. Saw two recent avalanches, both on NE facing steep rocky slopes. These slides most likely occurred during the wind event on thursday seeing that there was new snow on the debris. Dug a quick pit at 10500ftdue N facing in the Room of Doom, there was 5 to 6 inches of well developed facets at the bottom of the pack then a fairy connected one finger wind slab on top with light density at the top of the pack, not a good set up for for a larger load.
