Weather and Snow
Current Conditions: Very warm temperatures over the last few days has saturated the entire snowpack up to around 9000'. It was completely wet on Monday. Above 9000, the snow remained dry on the more northerly facing slopes. Temperatures cooled off into the mid to upper 20s overnight. Wind is calm to light in speed from the west.
Mountain Weather: Today we'll see clouds and high temperatures into the mid to upper 30s. Wind will be from the southwest and will increase into the moderate speed category. A storm will move through tonight into Wednesday and should bring 3 to 5 inches of new snow. Of note, the main US weather model (GFS) has drastically increased the amount of water it expects for our area during this storm. If this is the case, we may see more than 5 inches. Looking farther forward, there are a number of storms that will move through over the next week that look fairly decent.

Description
For today, avalanche conditions will remain quiet.
We should probably start getting into the mindset of dealing with more dangerous conditions if we do indeed start stacking more layers of snow up. There is plenty of weak snow in the upper elevations and it will most likely cause problems at some point.
As of now, things are mostly stable but we could see dangerous conditions materialize between now and the new year. We'll see what the storms bring us.
