Comments
Yet another natural avalanche breaking down to the PWL from the 2/7 cycle. This one on a NW aspect above treeline. Depth is unknown as this was viewed from a distance and the bed surface is mostly filled in with 15 inches of new snow, and also some wind-drifted snow. The debris pile is still obvious and is quite large. Strong Southerly winds blew for three straight days and on 2/7 there was 12 inches of new snow with roughly 1.5 inches of SWE. Many natural avalanches have been observed from this cycle.
