Snow Profile Comments
We dug a snowpit on the slope adjacent to the southern flank of the avalanche on 2-3-24. The total snow and the slab layer here may have been a bit deeper than where the avalanche occurred.
Comments
We could see this fairly fresh looking slide from the Franklin Basin Rd that probably occurred last weekend (1-27 or 28). There were also some recent sled tracks in the area, so this may have been remotely triggered.
Comments
We checked out the avalanche on 2-3-24. It would have been a dangerous avalanche to get caught in because it ran out through trees
