Today, I came across 3 natural avalanche on NE aspect, along the south ridge of chilly peak. These were relatively small, D1 avalanches, that I estimated the crown to be between 4" and 6". They ran various lengths, from 100 to 300 feet. Earlier in the day, I had also noticed shooting cracks when skinning up.
