Some unconsolidated snow grabbed the inside edge of my downhill ski on the approach, slowly turning into rollers balls, then more roller balls, until before I knew it I was in a small wet slide and took a little ride. Slipped down about 200' and managed to clip out of my skis on the way down. The slide started deceptively slow and the heavy wet snow was surprisingly difficult to maneuver out of. I misjudged how much new snow there was and was too late because the snow surface was already too wet on this east aspect by 11 am.
