Weather and Snow
Current Conditions: There was a very small amount of precipitation on Tuesday but nothing measurable. The minor weather disturbance that's moving through cooled temperatures but only slightly. Overnight lows are around 30˚F. Wind has been light from the southwest.
Mountain Weather: Today we'll have mostly cloudy skies, a minor chance for light precipitation, high temperatures in the low 30s and light wind from the southwest. Clouds remain through the week. There is a samll storm on Saturday that might bring 1 to 3 inches of new snow. There's really no decent looking storms until after the new year.

Description
While the chances for triggering an avalanche are low, continue to use backcountry protocol while traveling. Look for any cracking within the snow surface. Pay attention to any collapsing (whooping) of the snowpack underneath you. These are red flags and indicate unstable snow. Only put one person at a time on steep slopes and don't regroup at the bottom of steep slopes.
