Comments
Beautiful day out in the mountains with perfect riding conditions, let the good sliding times roll. Observed an approximately week old, suspected natural avalanche off Mongo No in Mineral Fork. Don't recall seeing any reports of this in the week or so prior to today.
Stretched north towards Barrieto hard to tell if it connected that far down Santiago Ridge. Latest snowfall and wind loading have begun to obscure the crowns and reload the slope.
Crown estimated at 500ft wide, 1-3ft deep encompassing almost the entire path. Debris piles extend down the entire slope running ~1,500 vertical feet just below the bottom of the flats under Room of Doom.

Important reminder to keep a catalog of previous avalanches and potential repeater slopes. These pieces of information will be crucial to finding relatively safer routes to ride in the weeks ahead as the PWL trends towards healing in deeper snow pack areas.
