Comments
Clear skies on the 31st made this westerly facing slide visible from the 28th. Crowns are somewhat obscurd, so avalanche must have occurred earlier in the storm cycle. Of note is heavy riming occurred from 9900' and above. Crown line is just below rimed elevation band. Area is mostly treed, with complex terrain which most likely allowed Nov/early Dec snow to persist despite the mid December melt from warm temps. Debris appeared to have made it over the last cliff band and onto the Khyve Peak bench. This is the only west facing avalanche that we have seen so far from the cycle on the 28th in the Southern Wasatch.
