Skied the Whipple and in Neffs yesterday afternoon. There was clearly a large natural avalanche cycle yesterday with almost anything steep having already slid naturally on all aspects. The Whipple was almost entirely filled with soft debris as all the side chutes slid and collected in the main couloir.

While skiing our exit run in Neffs, we chose to ski a steep NW facing chute that had mostly slid previously. About halfway down the chute I skied to the left onto a part that hadn't slid, aware that there was a good chance it would slide due to how sensitive the new snow was, but thinking it would be manageable due to how small the strip of snow that hadn't slid was. About halfway down I did trigger a 6 inch deep soft slab that began about 30 feet above me but was able to easily traverse right onto the bed surface from previous avalanches and let it pass.
