Our party intentionally triggered two large cornices above THC in the Wolverine Cirque that posed potential hazard of hang fire. We roped up for safety, which was a good call since the cornices we triggered were a bit bigger than expected. We also made sure there was no one below. The first cornice was just above the main chute. After impact with the slope it also triggered a ~6" wind slab 30' across in the center of the chute. The second cornice was off to the skiers right side. After triggering these, we are were able to safely ski the run.
