Accident and Rescue Summary
"We just wanted to let those know who ride Cub River, one section of Hillyard slid over the trail. So, be very careful in the area. It was triggered by snowmobilers on the trail crossing the slope. There is still a section that will slide, so be careful, cross through one-at-a-time if you decide to go that way. The snowmobilers are ok and was able to get them out of the slide."
Comments
From the video, I gather that a rider was caught and carried around a hundred feet. The rider had deployed air bag. The sled was buried about 5 feet deep near a tree.
Update 4-8-23: Apparently a rider was side-hilling above the road and triggered an avalanche of storm snow that caught and carried two other riders in the group who both deployed airbags. One rider was partially buried and one snowmobile was completely buried under about 5 feet.
