Comments
Noticed a large D2.5 natural avalanche on my tour today on Horsehead peak. Avalanche danger was high, and there were lots of shooting cracks and whoomphs while I was out. Avalanche consisted of the new snow that fell yesterday and last night. Snow was dense and deep, as well as being transported by the wind onto more westerly aspects.

Forecaster note: I went in on March 25 to have a look at this impressive slide that ran nearly full track.
