Three avalanches occurred while on route to summit Superior. Winds were blowing hard and small instabilities emerged in many spot even down low on Cardiff pass. The first slide occurred as the lead track cutter made a kick turn ascending Little Superior and triggered a sizable windslab that enveloped the whole sub ridge below. Continuing the ascent the skiier triggered a 2" deep but wide propegating wind slab on the northeast side of LS (no photos taken). My party originally leading turned around along with most every other party behind. After descending a more stable Two Trees we ended up on the road where to our surprise a large avalanche started barreling towards us from the summit. We scampered out of the way though the slide never reached the road. Thankfully we had contact with the party on top who let us know they were okay. We learned a small chunk of cornice had fallen and the resulting debris triggered larger slabs to give way below.
