Observed a large avalanche this morning running on the south face of superior. We saw lots of new snow activity as we were walking up grizzly Gulch during our exit. We paused on the cat road to look at Superior and we noticed the slide running, and took a video. See attached. From the road it appeared the a point release ran from the ridge and entrained snow. After about 1000 feet it loaded a consoldated region and triggered a dry slab, propagating a few hundred feet in either direction. The dry slab then ran to just above the road. Once we reached the car I spoke to some folks who are in a party below the party, who they believed remotely triggered the slide. Since I just captured the video from a far all of the measurements are estimates.
